Daddy’s Day.

Were I the richest person in the world, I might — MIGHT — be able to give my husband the Father’s Day celebration he so richly deserves. Because, truly, this man deserves to be treated like a king. Someday I will win the lottery, and then all bets are off. But until then, we will celebrate on a more modest scale.

In honor of his love for graphic novels, the babies wore their superhero costumes. We gave him a digital frame so he can enjoy a new photo on his work desk every so often. I made him a pan of lemon bars, which, judging by how quickly they disappeared, were apparently pretty tasty. And that’s about it.

Except, of course, for the immense love in our hearts for him. But that’s always present, not just on Father’s Day.

We love you, Daddy.
