Wonder Twin Powers, Activate.

Jack kind of lost interest in the superhero capes, but Emme recently became obsessed with them.

Every time she sees a cape, she thrusts it at me, jib-jabbering in her gibberish talk (no words yet! not worrying! no, not me!) and stamping her little foot to have it velcroed around her neck. The funny thing is, she usually insists I put Jack’s on him as well.

He doesn’t seem to mind.

This was before bed the other night. (Fun fact: we don’t comb their hair after baths yet when they wake up in the morning, it’s all soft and silky and straight. I guess because it’s so fine and thin. Perfect hair for lazy parents.) They were running around like maniacs with their capes on.

Apprentice superheros with their supervisor. Did you know that when you reach the apex of superherodom — kindness, heroism, intelligence, and super husbandability — you don’t have to wear your cape anymore?

What a sweet thing to say, and exactly fitting! The wife’s not bad, either.

Wonderful pictures. The last one tells it all – so much love being demonstrated. I would agree with Jane that mom Lara is certainly a key member of the superhero inter-circle.

So cute!

Also, so Lucky with the hair thing. We comb V’s every night, and by morning, the whole back is just one huge tangle.
