Monday in the Park with Jack (and Emme and Mommy and Daddy).

Oh, you guys. My butt is currently being kicked by life right now. I keep meaning to get on here and post some pictures but by the time I’m finally dragging myself to bed these days I’m too tired to string three coherent words together — so allow me to apologize in advance for this post being barely literate. I’ve taken on several big projects at work, including a website re-design, in addition to working on a freelance project that’s the most complex I’ve ever undertaken. So the normal mommy guilt is ramped up times a thousand since the words “I’ll read that to you later. Right now, Mommy is working,” have been uttered far too many times over the past two weeks.

The weather has turned suddenly cold but we’re still making it to the park most days before I bury myself in work for the evening, which has resulted in some pretty cute pictures lately. I have been climbing up to the top of the slide to snap some shots and it never fails to amuse the troops.

Justin has made it to the park with us twice in the last week, where he conducted a rousing series of Ring Around the Rosies.

And he took a picture with Mommy in it, which I’ve been meaning to try and do more and more. My mom forwarded me this story from The Huffington Post and it made me stop and think about how few photos we have where I’m with the kids. Time to get over my vanity and hand over the camera every once in a while.

I do love that picture.

The project is due October 17th, so life should be infinitely better after that.

That last picture, with you in it, will probably be one that each of them treasures all their lives. I hope you will stick to your resolve.

All of these pictures are absolutely awesome, priceless especially the last one of mom and the one of dad and the twins. Then there’s the ones of JR and Emmeline the Great going down the slide. Oops, guess that’s all of them. I would agree mom needs to be in more of the pictures for the sake of the children in later years. I assume J took the one of mom and the twins coming down the slide. He did a great job. If he didn’t someone did.

Love that last picture! They are growing too much…which means a visit to see them is LONG OVERDUE!

You MUST frame that picture of Emme!
