Everyone knows that the Fletchtower household is the pinnacle of culture and refinement. But you may not know that we’ve started instilling that same sense of noblesse oblige into Jack and Emme. Scoffing at their misnamed high chairs (which actually sit on the ground), brother and sister have been taking their meals at the table like civilized people.

During dinner, they delight in pieces by Schubert or Lizst or Shostakovich and have taken to dabbing their faces and hands with napkins when besmirched.

We’re still working on the full range of manners and etiquette, but they are well on their way to being able to mingle with the upper crust.

Good Lord. These photos make our house look like a hovel and our children look like unwashed orphans.
