I'm Justin. That lovely lady is Lara. And the two of us write about the two of them: Jack and Emmeline.

What's the best way to bring up such a precocious pair when you've had no prior experience being a mommy or daddy? Don't ask us. We're still figuring it out.

What we can offer you is an honest look into our Adventures in Babyrearing: The challenges, the triumphs, and all the events in between. We'll share the days when parenting isn't everything it's cracked up to be and the days when parenting is the most magnificent thing in the world.

There are also product reviews -- each one meticulously tested with the utmost rigor by our two little lab technicians -- and round-ups of some of the most weird and wonderful parenting-related links on the Web.

Jack showed off his mad walking skillz to a pro today.

Little Jack had his Early Intervention Physical Therapist re-evaluation today at noon.

(I ruined this picture of him and I love it so much. It’s too overexposed to be repaired so let’s pretend I meant to make it look like this on purpose, shall we?)

This is the appointment that will tell us whether he should continue on with therapy. The therapist was here for a total of 15 minutes…pronounced him exactly where he should be — not ahead, not behind — packed up, and left.

Whew.

A week from tomorrow, the rest of the team are scheduled to come and take a look. The PT said she would be very surprised if anyone recommended further therapy. Let’s hope she’s right.

Meanwhile, he continues to walk more and more, moving about the room like a drunken frat boy on a bender. He still needs something to pull himself up on, can’t just stand from sitting on the floor, but she said that was totally normal for where he’s at.

So we’re over that hurdle!

Congratulations! Miss V has her first appointment with her new PT on Monday. Today, she was sitting and tipped over onto her side, and pushed herself back up to sitting, so that was something…

Lara, Jordan started walking like a pro at 11 months, but if he fell in the middle of the room, he had to crawl over to something to pull himself up for months after he started walking. Jack is saying: “YEAH, Bud, I’m where I’m supposed to be, I TOLD you, okay?”

Well…. I must disagree on the picture. I think it’s great. Guess I’ll always be a b&w picture fan. The contrast is striking.It’s a keeper, at least for my family album.
